I absolutely regret going with Pinnacle Mortgage. They did my mortgage and I could close on the property but caused so much unnecessary pain, even when I have an Excellent credit score.
Here are some of the issues:
1. They give you an initial checklist of documents but ask for a ton more, one after the other. This greatly delays processing time & causes you to slip closing date.
2. They seem to have absolutely no regard to push the mortgage application as long as they can charge you the fee, and by the time they ask for more documentation, it is too late to go with any other mortgage provider.
3. If you do shop around for mortgage, they ask you for a letter stating you are not pursuing any other mortgage application. Here is the actual email I got "Part of us setting up a closing is pulling a refresh credit report. There are 2 additional inquiries from Quicken Loans dates 3/20 & 2/25. We will need a letter addressing why they inquired your credit report and if any additional debt was obtained. Please sign the letter and send it over asap."
4. They look at events totally non connected to your mortgage application and, ask you to provide documentation and say the loan cannot proceed with out, and if you reject and put up a fight, they are ok to let that slip. So, if it is not absolutely needed, why ask for it and make a scene.
5. I could give a ton of more specific examples where they acted on borderline unprofessionalism. Should have never gone with them.
I am shocked that I could close the place in spite of this mortgage provider.
Absolutely the worst mortgage provider ever. Make your life a lot easier, go with someone else.
