First, the location. It is in the old train station ticket office and waiting room. Much of the old charm has been preserved and it gives the location and elegant feeling. Second, the food. I have been here many times with my family for brunch and they never disappoint. Anything on the menu is delicious but make sure you get a side of bacon as it is thick cut and expertly cooked. It can get pricy for Mother's Day, but then again, what place does not.

The staff is always above and beyond helpful, fun, and they truly make the evening. The food is simply out of this world, and their desserts are an excellent way to end the evening. To top it all off their staff is knowledgeable about wine pairings, beer flights, and the like. SUCH a good restaurant.

Beautiful converted rail station with excellent food and drink choices. Upscale but well worth the extra cost as the food is prepared wonderfully with seasonal choices that make coming back a pleasure. If available, I highly recommend the venison, which is probably my favorite of their dishes.

Food was Ok; service was horrible. I typically won't ding a restaurant for a bad wait staff, but we had a drink at the bar before sitting and the bartender was rude. After sitting and ordering and waiting and waiting and waiting without being checked on. We flagged down the waiter to be told he forgot to submit appetizer order but our dinner was almost ready.
With all the great choices in Montclair, I don't think this is one you need to try.

A nice upscale gastropub inside a historic train station building with nice atmosphere. It’s a little over the top feeling between the pricey menu and the beer served in wine glasses, but it does make the place feel a bit more special. The beer menu isn’t huge, but the half dozen or so beers on tap are excellent and the staff is great about offering suggestions and giving tastes. The outside patio is quite nice on warm sunny days. The food itself is pretty great; the calamari which is grilled, not fried, was nice and fresh and very excellently seasoned. The clientele can get a bit brash and noisy because this is after all Montclair.
