Pier 36 New York

Too long of waiting in line to board the cruise. Pier 36 was full of litter and overflowing garbage cans. The cruise was about one hour and not 75 minutes as stated at their site. The cruise itself was very enjoyable and the crew were excellent.

a nice, large, and clean venue. Went to a bootcamp #sweattour2016 and had a blast.

Elitist basketball camp for the well off every now and then; does nothing and gives less to the immediate community as promised when in development talks with the locals and Senator Daniel Squadron.We were promised a cafe, sports programs for seniors as well as at risk youth and local youth, etc, etc ... Pier 36 is not a "basketball city"and its events clog and pollute the local neighborhood with noise, drunks, trash and traffic when they rent the space out for lavish parties of large corporations and the really rich. They also post fake (without permit number) police notices in the local neighborhood for "no parking today" as suits management to please its private clients. They have a large parking lot (in a severely parking space strapped area) that sits empty most of the time while their employees and friends use it for private storage and locals get parking tickets or pay out the nose for overnight parking - if it is available.
Oh well....working class neighborhood people are too busy trying to make ends meet and have no time to fight developers with big money and high connections in government......Please know who and what you are dealing with before you give Pier 36 Event Space your money.
