Pier 1 Imports

Wanted to like the people at this store, but they are not friendly at all. I got somethings that required protection, the guy at the cashier gave me a nasty look because I told him that my items needed to be wrap on paper so they don't brake . Went the next day to Pier 1 on 5th Ave, what a huge different on the staff there.

What a miserable experience. After struggling to get my daughter's stroller into the door in the rain, I was "greeted" by a man who was standing 10 feet away, talking to the security guard. A nicer welcome to your store would have been, oh, I don't know, holding the giant door open maybe? After finding what I needed, I went to the cashiers, where I stood watching four employees talk about someone's missing cell phone. Then a cashier was ready to help me. I said hello and asked it I could please have a gift receipt for my purchase. She directed me to the gift cards. I said, smiling, "no, a gift RECEIPT please". She shook her head and said, "Well that's fine, but you said certificate."
She rung me up at a snails pace while chatting with another employee and then took 8 years to wrap up my three items and put them in a bag. As I left, the same man at the door said good bye to me and went back to his conversation with the security guard while I again struggled with the door.
Thanks for nothing Pier 1. Super disappointing.
