Pie by the Pound

Love this casual place with great Pizza. We were trapped there today because of the rain and had a very entertaining game of Jenga over a few delicious slices and some pineapple ale.

This is my go to place for gluten free pizza. The owner is very welcoming and on a gluten free diet as well, so this is one of the best places to avoid cross contamination. They also have a membership for discounts on GF pizza and occasional GF only all-you-can-eat events!

There were so many different kinds of pizzas to choose from. Each of my children was able to choose 4 slices of different pizza and get a drink for a great price (those who were not Gluten Free). For the members in my family who had to eat gluten free, the choices of pizza were exactly the same (but had to order a whole pizza - that is just how it rolls for GF - no biggie). The owner was there when we arrived - he greeted us (we have 6 children) and personally interacted with each member of our family. He made helpful recommendations but was not pushy - we ordered the house special (his favorite - ended up being our favorite too! We ended up ordering the apple dessert pizza (totally awesome) and left completely full!. There was an old movie quietly playing as well that totally engaged my children (black and white film). We had a wonderful evening here and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a new take on eating out for pizza even if you are not having to eat gluten free!
