I had a great time at my friend's send off dinner before he moved to Cali. It's got judaica on the wall, which is something you don't often see in an italian restaurant, haha. The food was excellent, I'd particularly recommend the meatballs. Portions are big, so definitely take home a doggy bag for lunch the next day. House wine was pretty decent too.

Here's what you need to know:
- This family owned spot feels like old new york. Tiny dining space, tables in close together, family affair
- The meatballs are the size of a large fist. The spaghetti and meatballs is a strong strong go-to option that should not be overlooked because of its classic nature
- It's a little pricey given the overall experience, but definitely worth checking out

Indifferent, incompetent staff and belligerent management turned what looked to be an enjoyable old school cozy Italian delight into a nightmare. Obtaining a glass of wine should not become an ordeal resulting in finger pointing betwen management and staff, each spending more time call ing each other out than fulfilling the request. The pear gorgonzola salad looked divine. Unfortunately 20 minutes later, we were served a bland caprese. Again the staff said we ordered incorrectly until 5 minutes later the manager apologized. But wait, things go downhill from here. The wrong pasta with the wrong sauce resulted in another 15 minute delay. The manager finally offered a second main course of sumptuous looking ossobuco. By this point we were running late for a party, so we had a few quick bites and requested the remaining portions to go. Yelling from the kitchen 10 minutes later was heard throughout the restautant. It was clear the ossobuco to go was gone. When I refused to pay for an entree we could not enjoy, even at a later date, the chef (presumably owner) stormed out of the kitchen screaming that we were trying to get out of paying and lookin for a free dinner. Needless to say a scene ensued; the most atrocious la Guage and offensive behavior I have witnessed in 35 years of NYC dining. Avoid these toxic people regardless of how good the food may be.

The food is absolutely amazing and old school. If you can't make up your mind the staff is very helpful with what you should order. You must make a reservation and still expect to wait a bit.
