Probably the worst manicure I've ever had. She is a nice lady, trying to be friendly and funny, trying, but so bad at her job. I came home, took off the horrid paint job and did it myself. So, the $10 was wasted and I won't go back there.

I will never go back here. I was so insulted by the owner. I went in for a pedicure and the woman who did it, was fine. it wasnt great but def not bad. When I went to pay I was asked to have a manicure. when I said I couldnt as I had to meet friends, I was told my pedicure was the same price if I had a manicure/pedicure. i coudlnt believe it. I was then given a lecture by the owner that they only offer manicure/pedicure and I should have read al the signs displayed throughout their place. He even had the nerve to say he never goes into a restaurant without first reading their menu. so insulting!! I always so to a place on 21st and def going back there.

Horrible business! Stay away, for your own good.
My sister got me a gift card that was good until the end of November. I went in today, October, 27th, and they refused to honor it. They admitted to taking my sister's money in August and gave no reason as to why they would not honor it! In fact, they were quite rude that I even tried to redeem it.
This is fraud! And a scam! The salon should not issue gift cards if they do not plan to honor them.
Additionally, the salon is far from a spa. The place is dirty and crowded. If you want to get your nails done, there is a clean, friendly place just a block away on Vernon.
Avoid New York Looks is you value your time and money.

I need to look professional, yet cool, for my job in television... and Alex the owner knows exactly how to make my hair look good. He did a great job cutting my hair, in a short amount of time! I also got a pedicure from Connie. It was my first time ever getting a pedicure and the experience was a joy. I've gotten a lot of compliments on my feet recently, thanks to flip flops and Connie. Connie has a great personality and wonderful technique. When you want to talk, she's the most charming person to talk to. When you want to just relax in the chair, she simply focuses on her work and makes you feel very comfortable. Looking forward to going back!!

Walk in to this place recently, and had a great haircut and ended up getting a manicure too. The women who cut my hair was helpful for what I should do, and it was my first experience with having someone cut my finger nails. Odd, but actually nice.
Although the services were great, I was more impressed with the space and the people and other people there. It just had a nice open vibe.
