Had a NYE dinner here, the food was amazing (especially the lobster). Portion sizes are a bit off (the duck sausage was too much to me, and the venison was quite small) but everything tastes fantastic and is prepared professionally. The beverages where stunning and matched the food very well. Definitely stop by when you're looking for non-posh fine food.

To my surprise all.the other reviews said a completely different thing but this etablissement is amazing! Food is insanely good, very good price, too and the food was very quickly served. Definitely something special and different to the regular american diners.

Still seated in the restaurant as I write this. The experience was that terrible.
While we expected the experience to be somewhat average because of the high volume for the Pride March, we did not expect it to consist of entirely "burn and turn service" (to quote the waitstaff). Two of us ordered poached eggs, which were so overcooked they bordered on soft-boiled eggs.
We also specifically came here for the bottomless special, but were denied service because it was 11:15am - understandably so, as the NYS law prevents liquor service before noon. We asked if we could have the special start at noon (when it is legal to serve alcohol) and the manager said "absolutely not".
However, inexplicably at 11:30am and much to our surprise, the manager suddenly allowed several other tables liquor service and the bottomless special.
Overall, this was an incredibly bad experience in service and food quality. I will not be coming back.

This is a special neighborhood place for us. The food is good and prices great. What distinguishes it is the service and atmosphere. Although there is a bit of a crunch to get in and out on weekends it is well worth it because it feels like a genuine Village hangout for locals and I love that. It used to have live music at one time, that may have been discontinued, but it made for a superb experience. The management and staff are all very friendly and highly attentive and it's just a great everyday place to grab a bite.

Unlimited sparkling wine is spiked with cheap headache vodka. I've been coming here for years though, and used to love it, but my most recent and final meal was the beloved crab cake Benedict. I was served a scoop of under-cooked cat food batter on a rock hard English muffin. Nobody cared. I feel bad yelping, but what a bad experience.
