I made an appointment for a couples massage as a Valentine's Day gift for my boyfriend. They had a promotion for Valentine's Day that with any 60 minute massage you will get the grotto tub soak free. When I called to make the appointment, I specifically told them that it was my first time there and that I had been referred by my sister and I had a referral credit of $20 off spa services each of us and I asked if I could combine the offers and still get the Valentine's grotto tub special. The lady said "yes, absolutely, you're going to get the Valentine's deal and get the $20 off each your massages"...ok then, so I booked it. The day of the massage, I ended up paying for the grotto tub because they didn't want to honor the Valentine's Day free grotto tub special because they couldn't combine the offers, after they said they could be combined. I informed them that the lady I spoke to on the phone had said they would combine the offers and there answer was "Oh, I'm sorry I don't know who you spoke to but we can't combine the offers", really?! Seriously?! that's how you treat NEW clients?! They should have honored their word and make a new client happy, hence I might have returned. Now I will NEVER go back to this spa and will NEVER recommend it to anybody. May I add, EVERYTHING is RIDICULOUSLY OVER PRICED! I feel completely robbed.
The massage was nothing out of the ordinary, it was a simple massage with not even a bit of pressure...I felt my back was just being caressed. And all though my boyfriend enjoyed his gift, he wasn't overall impressed either, informing me he wished they'd put more pressure instead of just caressing his back, and he remembered telling her to be firm with his massage. He also said that he specifically circled on the paper work that he had pain and needed attention on his calves and that the massage therapist completely avoided and skipped his calves. They didn't even pay attention to our needs.
