Great store. The customer service is top notch and I am really now getting an excellent aquarium set up. They care and show you they care. I avoid the other petco nearby and stick with this location.

Avoid grooming salon (Josh).
I've been returning here every time my pet needed a nail trimming for over two years now. But today it was a new guy that I hadn't seen before at the grooming salon on second floor. I thought it was a bit weird since usually the groomer lets me watch while my pet receives her nail trimming. But today's groomer (careless and lacks skills; my dog' snails were all uneven -- which made me wonder whether Petco only hires licensed groomers) shooed me away to have me go pay for the service while he worked on my dog, which I suspected was neither the usual course of service nor was kind (I like to keep my dog within my eyesight at all times if I can), but I did anyway since I didn't want to cause any trouble. When I was back upstairs after paying, he was working on my dog's left hind foot --his last-- and suddenly my dog let out a squeal and I naturally asked what just happened. But the groomer (name: Josh/ I would guess his ethnicity to be white/Hispanic, age: mid-twenties) looked up at me, as if he just realized that I was back and said "it's probably because she (my dog) just saw you" in a nonchalant voice as if it weren't anything to worry about. And I immediately wondered, 'Is this guy seriously a groomer working at a pet salon?! Dogs don't cry out like that unless they feel some kind of sharp pain'. Then he brought my dog to the counter and I saw that my dog was leaving blood stains where her foot touched, and of course I was upset and I remarked the blood marks on the counter to the groomer, and only then did he even notice that my dog was bleeding! (God knows how many times he hit the nerves while I was away) And the sleazy apology that he gave me was for any inconvenience that this may have caused me. 'Excuse me?!' My dog was hurt and that is what he should be apologizing for! Please, readers and fellow patrons of this store, I won't tell you to avoid this store if you live in the area and this location happens to be the most convenient for you -- like it is for me-- but DO avoid Josh the groomer and the entire grooming salon on second floor if possible unless you want what happened to my dog happen to yours. Neither the guilty groomer nor the impolite store manager who seemed in the least bit interested in customer service seemed to care to sincerely apologize for today's accident. Thanks for reading, I thought it would benefit other dog owners in the UWS by writing this review.
