Orchard Beach is great for a morning ride, but the mood gets spoiled if you stay later than 9am.

Pelham Bay Park has come along way, its just such a shame to see it treated with such disrespect during summer holidays, Piles of trash, etcetera. You begin to appreciate the park staff when you see them dealing with it.

Great area for cycling.

Took my family over for a walk through the playground. It's really nice and has an open field where we flew kites together. Good place to check out if you'd like to run the track, play football, basketball or even go for a hike. There's a nice dog run as well!

NYC's largest park (over 3 tines larger than Central Park) packs a lot in 2,772 acres from horse riding, to trails, to Orchard Beach and so much more. It's the site of the yearly Native American festival held in September.

Split Rock Golf course is here as is Bartow Pell Mansion too.

You will also find all sorts of wildlife here such as deers, coyotes, and even wild turkeys.

Recently, it was revealed that over 100 Native American artifacts were discovered during construction of the Pelham Bay Park Waterfront Development project—artifacts that date anywhere from 1,000-1,800 years ago as per test results.

According to the New York Post, “Experts are calling the trove of ceramics, pottery, stone tools and other artifacts found in the southeastern section of Pelham Bay Park one of the most important archaeological finds in New York City history.”

Such a find appears to be the first of its kind for NYC.

A hike to get to but worth the trip. Huge beach but can be very crowded. If you walk to the end you can usually get a more secluded spot. The park really is huge, tons to explore

Me and my daddy rode our double bike through this park. You can find very good bike trails here to City Island with lots of seafood restaurants, Orchard beach on the long island sound. and Pelham Manor with so many things to do. You will have a blast at this park. There are also playgrounds and places for parties. There is also another beach on the Hutchinson River if you prefer more safe space in the water! It's roads provide transportation to places I listed in this review!
