Pediatric Cardiology Associates: Messina John J MD

We've been going here since 2007 and stopped in 2010...doctors are wonderful with our child, but the biggest problem is WAIT TIME. Our child cannot sit and wait 1.5 to 2.5 hours to see the doctor. It is ludicrous! Now we have to return there 2016 for a dental clearance.

This is actually the pediatric cardiology department of St. Joseph's in Paterson, which is a very good children's hospital. What can I say? No one wants to find out their kid may have a heart issue. I saw them for 3 echocardiograms during my pregnancy, two follow-ups in the St. Joe's NICU when my son was born, and 3 more appointments after that. I thought I was going to lose my mind with worry, and Dr. Kiblawi and Dr. Myradakis kept me sane. Everyone in this office is extremely kind, competent, and talented. Thankfully, my baby's small "anomalies" healed on their own, but if they hadn't, I absolutely trust these doctors to recommend the right next step. I will always be grateful to them, and I plan to get a fetal echo during my next pregnancy just to be safe!

Dr. Messina and his associate Dr. Dorothy Myridakis cared for my daughter from the day she was born. Dr. Myridakis discovered that my daughter had a heart defect and was very efficient and responsive in assessing the situation (not serious) and explaining to us what the issue was and her prognosis (good). Dr. Messina also has examined my daughter and is also responsive. They're both highly intelligent and love kids. Waiting to see the doctor is par for the course in NJ and NY. If you don't like it, move to another state.
