My grandfather worked at the Bull and Bear for 35 years so our family decided to eat at the Waldorf's Peacock Alley for Sunday brunch in order to pay homage. It was amazing and our waiter Feddy made us feel like family. We will make Peacock Alley a Sunday tradition every year when we visit.

AWFUL. The waiter forgot some drinks, wasn't so able to understand us, we had a reservation and almost couldn't get in, and the food was small and too spicy, also expensive. A REALLY bad experience, and no, I wouldn't come again, ever. This was the worst christmas eve dinner I ever had.

We went for the 'world famous Sunday brunch'.
On the whole we left disappointed as at 100 dollars per person plus service we expected great things.
The hotel invented eggs benedict, red velvet cake and the Waldorf salad. The eggs benedict was probably one of the worst I'd had, I was gutted as its my favourite breakfast!
The salad didn't blow me away but the cake was good.
The selection on offer is amazing......lobster, crab, beef Wellington, fry up, omelettes, baked Alaska, cheese boards, salads, chocolate fountain......the list goes on!
In summary I'd say the setting and selection are great, but the execution in the cooking of some of the dishes are not at the standard you'd expect in a hotel of this calibre and at the prices charged.
It's sad writing this, but we really expected it to be one of the highlights of our trip, but unfortunately it didn't deliver that.
