I love the family atmosphere at pats. Everyone knows everyone here. Love the great prices as well

Pat's is the epitome of the "neighborhood bar" a place where everyone is friendly, including the owner. The Bar tending staff are knowledgeable and friendly, the drinks are cold and the place is immaculate, The reason for my "very good" in the decor dept was far too Yankee heavy but do not let that sway you, over all the place deserves an 11 on a scale of 1-5 stars, I've been there a number of times and have NEVER had a bad experience, If you live in Middle Village/Maspeth/Glendale or beyond check them out. The food is decent bar food but its more the sharing a meal with people who make you feel like family than just a patron that makes the place the jewel it is.

I was visiting friends in Middle Village and we decided to visit the local tavern, which happened to be Pat's Sports Bar on Metropolitan Avenue. I was first greeted by a man who later turned out to be the owner of the establishment. Pat was such a friendly, open and generous person. The owner made me feel welcome from the minute I walked in the door. I noticed that most of the other customers just loved him. The place was well kept and clean. There were 2 booths and a dart board. The menu items which included cheesburgers, chicken wings, pizza and fried seafood were pretty good for a little neighborhood hole in the wall. I would definitely recommend this for someone who is looking for a night out in a local establishment.
