Party City

It is what you would expect for a Party City, although I was pretty impressed by their Valentine's Day offerings

I brace myself when entering this party city. Overall I like to go to Party City because they have a lot of stock. That is not the problem. The problem is some of the staff. Not all. Recently, I was on line, and the cashier was dealing with a customers. The cashiers orders the customer to go and get something from the isle while we waited for the customer to take their time and come back. Bad judgement because the customer took too a very long time and the cashier didn't bother to ask for a back up. Customers complain but cashier could care less. I eventually asked for a manager and the manager opened a line.

Another, time I went and there were only three people on line and one cashier. It took the cashier about 35 min to get to me. At one point she left the cash register and went in to the isle. Poof, just like a magician she disappeared. She reemerged several minutes later. You just can't help feeling like a sitting in a nightmarish experience

Another time one cashier was talking to the other cashier (this time there were two) They were complaining in front of customers about work conditions etc. Extremely unprofessional.

Do you guys screen your employees? By not being selective on who you hire we, the customers, have to suffer. Maybe they were good people when the came in and bad management corrupted them.

Its sad to say that when I think that i have to go to Party City I set aside a lot of time to make room for unprofessional staff members who need real management to be present. Because it has been my experience that none exist.

Again, not all the staff was terrible. Just most.

Customer service was very helpful. Staff even went through the Store aisles to check for the item, while I waited at the register.

Worst party city in the borough. Great store, great selection of items. 1 person on the register while there are 6 registers and the scanners don't work. Everything must be manually entered.
