Trendy but laid back neighborhood serious coffee shop (for discerning coffee drinkers who only go for the good stuff) serving delicious and low priced comfort foods ranging from Malaysian chicken curry with roti, to pulled pork and even all day brunch fare. Parlay is the idyllic cafe with high quality food and espresso drinks, good music, sunny and friendly atmosphere, great service, and surprisingly low prices. Note: cash only spot. Characteristic of the neighborhood but hope that will change soon!

An interesting coffee shop along Sunset Park that provides a gourmet coffee experience. The espresso-based drinks are as good as any cafe in Manhattan, only without latte art, which I miss. Other than that, they offer small bites and even some lunch fare during the hours they serve it. In the evening hours, the lights dim and regulars can be found tapping away on their laptops and snacking/drinking.

Fam, if you never had a Malaysian mom growing up, this is the spot to feel the love from one. That curry tho! Fam, do yourself a favor and get that chicken curry. Thank me later. The curry's secret ingredient is tender love. FAM, some of these near by businesses don't even know where to get that ingredient! And it's always enough to save for later. Unless you like stuffing your face, I ain't judging.

Super friendly staff, and nice decor. It will be hard not to come back every day for that grilled cheese! Mighty fine coffee as well. The spicy fries were not as crispy as expected, but definitely had a delicious kick. We ate every single one. Looking forward to trying more things. :)
