Reviews to Park Slope Bed and Breakfast
My husband and I stayed there for five days the end of June. I would highly recommend it to anyone. The bedroom, one and 1/2 bath and sitting room were immaculately clean. Fresh towels were furnished each day, plus pastries each morning. Coffee pot and nice coffee plus cereals were also available. No one bothered you, but you had everything you needed just like home. The location so close to the park is convenient plus shopping, movie theater and restaurants are close by.
If you have a problem with stairs you should consider there are three flights of stairs.

Josie was great and very accomodating. Great Brooklyn location. The brownstone was so inviting I wanted to move in! I stayed there new years weekend and the price was very reasonable.

This is a bearutifully restored brownstone, and a good price for NYC, but it is a 30-40 minute subway ride to downtown Manhattan. If you are in good health and can exercise, you will love this B&B. If you have any handicap, or a heart/lung condition, the stairs might be a problem. Hauling suitcases up 3 flights easily gets the heart rate to up cardio exercise range.
There are some problems with the website info. First, it's 3 rooms (unless you count a bathroom as a room) and one of them is unavailable unless you pay extra for your family/party to stay in the 3rd room--a second bedroom. So the basic price doesn't include ''four'" rooms, just the master and the garden room (which are very nice, beautifully decorated, firm but comfy mattress). The website notes it's the top floor of a brownstone. Some people might not be aware that these are 3-4 stories in NYC. There are two modern, clean bathrooms, 1/2 in the master and a really large nice one in the hall area with european fixtures and a lovely skylight.
The Garden room (sitting room) includes a nice sauna, but it takes up about 1/3 of the space and there are only 2 low chairs in there, so if you have more than 2 guests you have to move in chairs from the other rooms, and it's crowded. The 'garden' part of it is correct, and blocks the view out the window, as do all the small tables that are crammed near the window. There is only one reading light in there. The breakfast is very continental, mostly carbs, but great jams, juice and yogurt are available, as well as coffee and several types of tea.
The website makes it look like "laundry is done on premises". This is THEIR laundry, not yours, so that should be clearer on the website. There is a laundromat a few blocks away, if you stay long enough to need one. There is no computer available, so if you need one, bring your laptop.
Parkslope is a really upscale nice part of Brooklyn, near Prospect Park, and a 6 block walk to the subway. The Brooklyn Museum (marvelous) is a nice walk as well. The area is beautiful with lots of good restaurants, and one really nice wine bar in walking distance.
