Park Savoy Hotel

OMG!!! Are you all talking about the same hotel?? My husband and I stayed there many years ago for long weekend to celebrate our wedding anniversary. I made the reservations online, looked like a decent enough hotel for the price $89 per night. We came in from Connecticut on the train, looking forward to freshening up and going out to dinner. What a disaster this place was. The first room they put us in was disgusting and I am being kind...nothing worked, it smelled of urine. Called the desk and immediately requested a different room. They were obliging alright, this second room was worse than the first!!! There was a hole in the middle of the mattress, and the bathroom was so small my husband could barely sit on toilet as his shoulders were touching the wall on both sides. My husband went across the street to the Essex House and the only room available was $450 for the night. We decided to try and make the best of it as it would be our one and only night there. It was a good thing we had the chain on the door as someone else checking in was given a key to our room, and of course tried to get in. Fiasco trying to get that straightened out. I thought for sure this hotel would have gone out of business by now or shut down by the NYC department of health. Please if you are thinking of booking this hotel, DONT DO IT. I have read some of the reviews and it appears nothing has changed in 10 years.. $ 150 for a night, I would go and set up camp in Central Park before it would ever entertain the thought of staying there again. WHAT A DUMP!!!!

The hotel is what you would expect at this price and location. There are definitely nicer hotels in Manhattan for the same price but not at this location. The rooms are a but outdated but clean.

There are no amenities or parking. There is public parking nearby.

I give this place a 0 because no plugs , broken a/c , t.v did not work, noise all night I mean all night long. I am sure I heard gun shots. Breakfast is at the pizza place next door which we didnt go to. The service was very BAD. this place is NOT the place to stay. also I think that I have got bitten by BUGS

Terrible room and staff. Wifi actually cost money.
