This is a pleasant restaurant which has seldom served any loser dishes, but in the several years my family has been coming here, I have not had any winners, anything I would expect from a culinary star. Since the move, and the more relaxed vibe, the service has gotten slightly less professional. There are places which serve more inspired food at lower prices. Last night I had the tomato salad as a starter. It was excellent, well executed. The salad nicoise, which featured two large pieces of tuna, was barely acceptable. The tuna itself was stringy, the flavor nondescript. It looked great, but was borderline unpleasant. There was little reminiscent of a traditional salad nicoise. Some sort of sauce had been introduced, which overwhelmed the greens, olives and other ingredients (which I could not quite distinguish). Only the string beans were tasty. After we ordered our wine we were informed they had just sold the last bottle. The same price substitute which was urged on us was inferior. No one at the table save one seemed truly enthused. The exception had ordered an unusual corn based ravioli, which was served with black truffle shaved at the table. Hard to screw up truffles.

Neat atmosphere and decor. Had the 4 course meal. However, the crab in my peekytoe crab pansotti was not shelled properly, with the bits of shell becoming somewhat of a nuisance to pick out. The chocolate cube on the dessert menu is a work of art (and delicious).
