Great place! It's clean, reasonably priced, the beds are great, the staff is friendly, and the owner is even a licensed Esthetician. You can’t go wrong with a local tanning salon of this quality.

I DID like this tanning salon until today...
Last year I purchased a 10 pack of tans, and only used 3 of the 10 before the winter season was up. The computer had me on file for this, so there was a clear record that I had 7 tans left that had been paid for and not used.

Now granted, there is a sign that there is an expiration date on my "purchase", which I was informed about over the phone. I must say that I feel this is a horrible business practice. I WANT TO KNOW WHY THEY EXPIRE? I WOULD JUST LIKE THAT ONE SIMPLE ANSWER FOR MY PEACE OF MIND!

The owner/manager told me over the phone "sorry love, it they didn't expire...then I wouldn't make any money."

THIS STATEMENT IS COMPLETE NONSENSE AND JUST SOUNDS ABSURD TO EVEN HEAR. I paid for something...so CLEARLY money was made, and I was now looking to redeem my payment for services, granted it is beyond the proclaimed ironclad "Expiration Period," of Pacific Tanning! How am I supposed to feel as a consumer? I'll tell you. I feel like I gave money to someone for something and didn't get what was expected in return, almost as if they were banking on the fact that I wouldn't use my tans over the hot summer months.

When I explained my plight to the owner/manager I was given a swift "sorry love," and followed up with the sweet click of a disconnect on the phone.

Needless to say, I shall not be returning. I have gone to this place for years now and it saddens me to see that nonsensical business practices have led to this dismissal of my patronage. This isn't some grand corporation we are talking about here, it is a local neighborhood tanning salon, and it should try keep its customers happy if and when possible. I guess the expectation for good business and the concept of "the customer is always right" gets AIR-BRUSHED under the table at the Pacific Tanning Salon of Park Slope. Thanks for nothing.

Very nice self-tanning place - I got a chocolate glowing (not orange) tan almost immediately. I also went to a tanning bed - it was very intensive, Ergoline tanning beds, but that was just OK, I've seen better beds. OVerall nice place, I will return.
