P.S. 95 Sheila Mencher

This school is great! I love the attention of the Principal and some of the teachers here care for the student education. Mrs. Smith/Rivera 4TH Grade excellent teacher. Mr. Barknell 8th Grade teacher also excellent. The staff is great including the school police. Mr. Santiago also great. People that care for your kids security and well being. I recommend P.S 95 to everyone that cares for their kid.
Four years of my daughter life spend here. I really appreciate the care for the students. Mrs. De LEON. Oh! If I keep going wont finish today 8th Grade!! Last year for my baby here! but memories that will last a life time!! Some of the main office staff are not helpful.

I used to get bullied here and one of my teachers even told me to give up. That was the 5th grade. Avoid at all cost.

I love this school

This is a very nice and good school. The teachers are real helpful and very passionate about their work. I also like the principal you allows us to do fun activities and other educational stuff. I would recommend this school to every parent as it is good in education compared to other schools in NYC. But some of the number 1 teachers are Mr. Merchant, Mr. Eger, Mrs. rodriquez, Ms.tiernan, Ms. Gorman, Mr. Brchnel, Mr. deen italy, Ms. nankaville, mr. halpern and the list continues

Half of these people commenting can't even spell in proper English. Honestly, the teachers in this school are controlling and terrible. Only a handful can be considered kind and passionate and caring.

This school serves pre-k to special education, and most of these children graduate without knowing how to properly read or write. I've seen first hand that often the departments in this school that are supposed to be helping, are rarely patient and rather cold and uncaring when it comes to dealing with parents. And if you do not speak spanish? Forget about it. Because you won't really be getting help, just a condescending tone aimed at you. Most of the students besides the children in honor roll classes don't take academics seriously, thus the teachers don't take them seriously. Thus, the vicious circle of life. After attending this school for nearly half my life, and realizing how awful it was at the end of it, I can honestly say, thank goodness I left and picked up a real book.
