I was there for 5 years and lots of fun stuff is happening there.

It's an awesome school.

I went there for elementary school. It was one of the best.

A great school when I attended in the 1950's. Dr. Miller was the Principal then and yes you were expected to learn there so teachers made sure you did.

I have no complaints with the New York City School System in my experience as a student, P.S. 159, J.H.S. 158 and Bayside High School.

I can't help but think after reading the comments of "Strict Teachers'' that discipline was required as it was in my days in school and some kids lacked proper behavior then and now.

My name is Sandra and I just wanted to share an experience I had at this school. Back in 1965 I was 5 years old. Walking with my mom to school I notice the black iron fence. Scared the heck out of me, thought I was going into a prison, really. We had gone round to the back of the school where we all lined up. Teachers led us all into the school. I remember the need to find my way out, so I had to remember how we got to the classroom. As soon as no one was looking I ran out of the school and down the few blocks to where my dad owned a luncheonette. My dad said aren't you supposed to be in school and he called my mom. Mom had to take me back and she was furious that the two teachers didn't even notice I was missing. Well, I figured I would try again the next day and my mom had waited outside because she knew I would try to escape again. I remember being the cry baby of the class. Back then you only played and it was only half-day. As time went on I learned to settle in and play.
