Best school ever, I go to this school, no joke

This school is in a great neighborhood where the children are safe. They have a proactive and very involved PTA that makes the kids have extra special things throughout the year with the fundraisers. My now 21 year old son went here and he is now in college going to be a doctor and my daughter is in 4th grade having been here since Kindergarten. I would not want her anywhere else in the city except a Catholic school that is how good this school is. Very caring environment and excellent teachers. this school is the best thing next to a Catholic School. If you are lucky enough to be zoned into this school, then you are lucky. The teachers, and the Principal hold the students to a high standard of conduct and performance. I have the money and resources to pull my child out of a public school if it were anything like the ones my child's friends tell me about. I feel happy that my child is in this school and am very pleased with the standards.

45 45 kindergarten through grade 5, from the time that we arrived that year we grin from ear to ear, penmanship, arithmetic, reading, writing really quick, Try the lunches their nutritious after lunch we are ambitious, Computers, Libraries, Science and Gymnasium. WE try harder and we always do our BESTTTTT. Come see our school you like it, take a trip Enjoy it 45 45 forty fiveeeeeeee.
I HOPE THAT SUMS IT UP. I GRADUATED IN THE YEAR 2000. I WOULD DO IT ALL OVER AGAIN IF I COULD. 45 IS WHERE YOUR KID NEEDS TO GO TO SCHOOL. I WOULD LOVE TO GO BACK AND SEE THE CHANGES.

BTW... DO THE GRADUATES STILL SING THIS SONG?

I have two children that attend PS 45 and they love it. It is wonderful school filled with loving teachers and staff. Never has any employee of the school raised their hand to a student. If that ever happened the administration would have their head.
Everyone knows every child in the school by name and that creates a sense of community.

I don't agree with the review saying they are always asking for money because that is not true. The PTA is very strong and they do raise money for the school to pay for things that are not in the budget. If you do not have you just do not give.

Overall, PS 45 has programs in the curriculum that other schools do not have such as music, band, strings, arts, chess, swim, etc...My family feels very strongly that they are getting a great education at PS 45.
