After my fiancee and I got engaged we decided to try this hole-in-the-wall joint to bring our two families together. We couldn't have made a better choice. We arrived around 8 and closed out the restaurant, barely able to feel our feet we were so full.
This is a true family restaurant with a welcoming and lively atmosphere. Come with a good attitude like we did and you will probably be rewarded.
The food is fresh and delicious, the portions generous, and the service is friendly and honest. You absolutely get what you pay for. A true under-rated gem.

The fact that I passed by this place regularly for four years and only just ate here is a tragedy. I dined here on a Saturday with two friends and I was beyond impressed. This family-owned and operated restaurant delivers solid, huge portions of Italian favorites. The croquettes are not to be missed and they make the best chicken francese I've EVER had. I'll be returning.

Good slamon cream pasta, chicken picata was kind of dry. Minimum 1 plate per person, for family style sized..... Weird.

This place is an institution to home made, delicious authentic old style Italian cuisine. It is one of the last places you'll see family waiting on the customers, cooking the food and entertaining their guests. You better bring your appetite, the portions are humongous! The decor is that simple old style Brooklyn and a lot of the customers are too, but that adds to the warm enjoyable ambiance you'll feel as soon as you walk in.
The basic dishes are way more than that. When you get a plate of lasagna or spaghetti and meatballs, it's the authentic way it should be made, not like a chain restaurant.
You would be cheating yourself of ever knowing what authentic Italian food is if you don't come here.
