The new World Trade Center looks amazing, and the elevator up to the top is spectacular; however, once you are at the top, the attraction is a bit underwhelming. My father and I primarily paid the 37 premium to eat at the top and were even informed that there would be a restaurant where we could eat. Well, the restaurant ended up being a cafe, with stand up tables only. Their "proper" restaurant was closed.

Pretty much any other attraction of this magnitude, you are able to get a free ride to the top if you eat at their restaurant. Plus a cafe for what should be New Yorks most important building is not a sufficient replacement for a restaurant. I also went on a Saturday in the middle of May around 4pm (and would have hung around until 6), for those who may be assuming I went mid week or early in the day.

My recommendation is to please inform guests that your actual restaurant is closed. I would also recommend having more seats for the cafe, and benches to observe the view. Or lower the cost to around 25 dollars per person, which is much more reasonable considering how short the elevator/presentation is.

Ride up the elevator to the observatory on 102nd floor was awesome. The new transit center is amazing, inside and out. The tablet kinda thingy called "One World Explorer" is only good if you don't have a friendly local with you who knows NY landmarks. The tablet rents for $15.
I wish Central Park was visible from the observatory.

There's really not a whole lot to add which other five-star reviews haven't already eloquently laid out. I dismiss anything other than 5-stars as irrelevant. I suspect you do too. I mean, do you really need to even yelp this?

I'm not going to waste your time. You're interested in visiting it, right? - Well then, come on. You can either visit it virtually (online) which is fine if you can't come in person, or you can come in person. Either way, this is an important visit. Way more important, in my opinion, than having visited the twin towers prior to the great tragedy.

Visiting THIS is remembering what happened, seeing our collective resolve (first-hand), and being part of the ongoing and overall defeat of the scourge that struck us on 9/11/2001.

p.s., The views are also very good.
