Worst gym in America! Half their machins are broken and they have horrible customer service, especially the one with the Russian accent. When my membership is over, im running straight to Planet Fittness.

I've been a member at Omni Health & Fitness for a little over 4 years. The gym can be best described as an old car that you just keep driving. Yeah, the window doesn't roll down for the tolls, but you have EZ-Pass now. The FM reception is crappy, but have you listened to AM talk radio lately? Far more interesting than that new pop song on every FM dial, where you can just guess the next line in the lyrics.
My point is, there's a lot at this gym that needs fixing, from the busted locker room to the dingy shower and bathroom areas, which I've rarely used because of the condition.
As for the equipment, if you're flexible with your routine, there's usually an elliptical or treadmill available, but you find out why it's available once you jump on, i.e, broken audio input for TV, control screen flickering but machine still works, or the elliptical that makes an annoying "clank" every revolution (kind of like squeaky brakes in stop and go traffic). The free weights are aplenty, but do watch out for the dumbbells leaving the barbells on the floor.
As for pricing, the massive $10/month sign in the window is a lure. It's $10 a month AFTER a $69 initiation fee; an annual fee which I've "initiated" again, and again now for each year. So it's not $120/year but $189/year.
And yes, ever since they've offered the lower $10 price point, the clientele has changed. Take that as you may, but its a sentiment shared by other members and some staff I've befriended in the time I've been here.
So why do I keep driving the old car you may ask. Because it's close enough to home to drive and meets my average workout needs. Moreover, the New York Health & Racquet Club across the street from my workplace is a brand-spanking new Lexus I can't justify paying for, even if it parallel parks on its own...

half the machines are broken. the sauna has been broken for over a year. a lot of the free weights are missing or broken, no one re-racks their weights and I've never seen any employees putting them back or organizing this area., The parking lot is a joke. They block off spots in front for people who work there. They don't shovel the walk way, and their should be an entrance off the back parking lot seeing how that's where most people park. People shouldn't have to walk down the road (in sometimes icy conditions) and then walk out onto a main road to get into their gym. And, the membership is NOT $10 per month like they advertise. What they fail to advertise in their window on their big sign is that it's a yearly contract and a $60 fee to set up, so it's more like $15 per month.

I went in to try the strength training class and the people who were there to take the class said that I had to bring my own weights to the gym. Another problem that I have with this gym is that half the machines are broken. I tried out six elliptical machines, and none of them worked properly. I ended up on the treadmill instead. Don't even both with this place. You're better off paying 10 dollars a month at planet fitness.
