Really great and authentic Japanese place. Run by Japanese people in the strictest tradition of service. Not a lot of choices, if that's your thing, but what they have is super good. Food is great, service is fantastic. They only take American Express (grrrrrrr). Tempted to knock off a star for that but everything else was so good.

Very good food. Exquisite. Real Japanese food. Large selection of sake and soju. Be aware - payment is only with AMEX and it is quite extensive.

Great food also very expensive. We were seated on a weeknight without reservation.
The waitress was either having a bad day or she needs to change her job. Was rude and not welcoming.

A lovely little find. Quite authentic Japanese, style for decor, which somehow really works in NY. The menu was interesting, and has a separate Saka menu,. The Tempura was crisp, and not over fatty, and the Udon (hot or cold option) was spot on.
