We dropped our 10 month old rescue dog with Brian as a last resort. He was driving us nuts, wouldn't listen, relax, or walk on a leash without pulling. When we got him back from the two week board and train, he was a completely different dog. Not only did he respond to the basic commands, there was a calmness about him that really allowed us to enjoy him. It has been a completely different experience with our dog and we couldn't have done it without Brian. I would absolutely recommend NY Dog Works to anyone considering dog training.

My rescue Kenzie was with Brian for 2 weeks, She was given love, attention, training and play time like she was one of his own... and she came back an amazing mannered puppy who learned to listen. I am so grateful for the life changing decision for my lil rescue girl Kenzie. We can go for walks together without her pulling me all over the place. I would recommend Brian and NY DOG WORKS to everyone in need of training for their furkid. I am looking forward to off leash training in the near future for Kenzie!

We had just about given up on our Penny. We had used a trainer already and started interviewing others in desperation. Brian sounded great on the phone - not as intense as some of the trainers you speak with. He came to the house to do a consultation, and we were very comfortable with his approach right away. Although it was hard to see Penny go off with Brian, we knew that if this didn't work, we were out of options. Brian had said that he would keep her as long as needed to make sure she really was where we wanted her to be. He wasn't exaggerating. He had Penny for 6 weeks because she just couldn't get walking on the street without chasing cars down. But in the end, he was able to get her to a good place, and when she came back, she was like a different dog. She has been home now for a few months, and she still remembers everything Brian taught us. She has her moments where she starts slipping, but the training seems well engrained. We have yet to take Brian up on follow-up lessons, but we know we will soon mainly to reinforce our own behaviors with Penny.

In short, I'd recommend Brian for any dog. We were so frustrated with Penny, and now she is a completely different dog.

I have Bella my Corgi mix, since she was 8 weeks old and noticed that after the sandy storm was becoming aggressive towards strangers and other dogs. She would bark excessively
at people and would probably lunge if close enough. Unfortunately we ran into biting instances and knew that something had to be done. I am fairly experienced in raising a dog but lacked the experience to solve this on my own. I reached out a few different trainers but I was not satisfied with their techniques. I searched online and found NYDOGWORKS website. I read a couple reviews about him and decided to give him a try. I called Brian and within an hour I heard back from him, already I had a good feeling about this. His schedule was very flexible and was able to accommodate our busy lifestyle. Bella was enrolled in there Boarding & Training Program which was amazing! She returned the most well behaved dog, no more aggression towards strangers or other dogs, she was taught all the basic obedient commands, walks wonderfully on the leash, and is so well mannered. Brian and his staff are very professional, they kept us updated on her progress through phone calls and video during her training. I would highly recommend him to anyone that I know.

NY Dog Works is amazing! Great staff and very accommodating. I dropped my pit puppy off for the two week boarding and training program. After 2 weeks she was a different dog. She listens and responds well, shes great with everyone and she doesnt chase my cat anymore! Brian is very professional and knowledgeable and the same can be said about his staff. They follow up and it shows they care. I saw a few trainers before NY Dog works but I am so happy I chose them. I highly recommend!
