Northeast Chiropractic is great. I have known Dr. Kumar for over 3 years. Initially he came highly recommended by a friend. I saw him for my long-term lower back pain at first – within 3 or 4 sessions, I was relieved of all of my pain. Then a couple of years later, in the fall, I went back for severe neck pain, due to hours and hours of computer work, with the wrong posture. Again, after each visit I feel like new again.
Dr. Kumar is very competent, and he is always very thorough in his analysis of my situation. He speaks to me at length, asking many questions, taking his time. From one session to the next, he always remembers what we had discussed, and how I was doing. I have felt rushed, like a number, in other places – here, I felt like family. Also, he works with a really strong team of massage therapists and physical therapists. Each session lasts about one hour. First you talk to the doctor, who assesses your condition. In my case, he then applies electric muscle stim pads, which work their magic on their own for some 10-15 minutes. Then the massage therapist comes in, and she does a very long, very deep and well-structured massage to the areas that need care. I worked with two, one called Sarah and one called Christina, both top-notch - very serious and knowledgeable in their field. It is amazing how well they know exactly what small muscles to work on, with the right amount of pressure. Then the physical therapist, usually the lovely Joyce, comes in - she guides you through stretches and other exercises, which you can then repeat at home. Finally, Dr. Kumar himself comes in again, and he does his final spinal adjustments. I really feel like I have a team of professionals taking care of my needs.
Also, scheduling is always easy – they somehow manage to fit me in all the time, even last minute. The office is run extremely efficiently. They take care of all the paperwork for you, they take Cigna, my insurance, and they deal with them directly – what a relief! In other places I have had to send letters myself, spend hours on the phone – none of that here.
I highly recommend this practice!
