Northwell Health System: Franklin Hospital

After having her foot run over by a taxi cab, my daughter sat for 3 hours and nobody looked at her foot at all. They took her insurance in minutes and then there were no doctors or xray technicians on staff. We left after 3 hours and they said we could wait that the radiology person would arrive within about 40 more minutes. Forgot it. I looked at the foot myself and decided we'd get to a podiatrist in the morning. Thank God it wasn't as bad an injury as it could have been. The ER was full of people with sniffles and a few with possibly more serious stomach issues but they are seriously understaffed. They don't even use gurneys -- they sit everyone in pseudo wheelchairs so they can fit more people. Time to find a new hospital. They better not bill us or the insurance. I will fight it because no care was rendered whatsoever. Profitable for them -- but shameful!
