This review is based solely off the sweet and sour chicken meatballs. The meatballs themselves were pretty good. Though the "veggies" are basically cabbage drenched in the sauce. The rice was also pretty dry. Better luck next time I hope!

From the owners of the great Yunnan BBQ on Clinton. Who made scrambled eggs served with pickled jasmine flower that changed my perspective on Chinese food. Northern Tiger is their outpost in Brookfield place. The noodle soups are fantastic. They taste just as fresh and just as good as hand pulled noodles. The Shoabing wraps are oily but if you love hoisin sauce then it's for you. The dumplings are solid and tast freshly made. Six point and Narragansett beer on tap. 2 for one during happy hour!

Decent dumplings, however it is a bit over priced for what it is, especially when compared to Chinatown. However I would go back again as there are not many good dumpling places in the area

Northern Tiger is definitely not authentic Chinese food. But then again, at Hudson Eats, I wasn't really expecting it to be.
I ordered the lamb noodle soup (thinly-sliced lamb, bone broth, watercress). At $14 a pop, it's pretty damn expensive. You can get something amazing for about half the price and a half-hour walk to Chinatown. Unfortunately, options are limited during a lunch hour during work.
Now I'm not normally a fan of lamb because I don't really like that gamey aftertaste. But I wanted something hot, something with noodles, and something different, so this seemed to fit the bill. When I actually came to eat it, I immediately wished I had gotten dumplings instead (which is what seems to be more popular there but no...I just had to be different)! The lamb had that taste I didn't like, and the noodles weren't inedible, but they weren't great either. They were on the same level as those dried bowl noodles that you'd buy from an Asian supermarket.
Maybe dumplings are their forte. Maybe I'll try it one day. But I know I'll be avoiding their lamb noodles.

Ramen:
Nice broth, lightly spicy
Some pickled mustard green and cilantro
Noodles were overcooked, and kind of mushy unfortunately
Beef was pretty tender
