Nori Sushi Restaurant

DO NOT EAT HERE!!! I ordered a tuna avocado roll and salmon avocado roll from this place because the other sushi place I go to (Taka in Wayne) was closed on Sunday's. BIGGEST MISTAKE EVER!!! The sushi wasn't very good and I eventually got sick from eating it. Do yourself a favor and go to a different sushi restaurant.

Sushi is good and fresh. A little pricy but tasty. Service is not bad compared to most sushi places that make you wait a good while. Atmosphere is nice. They have another location in Montclair that is good as well. They also have a location in Caldwell I swear against for food poisoning and inability to handle customers.

OK, EVERYONE knows the ONLY reason this hole-in-the-wall is popular is because of The Sopranos- that's it! Is there sushi good? Sure. Is it the best? Not by a long shot. This place also has the WORST hours of any food service location ever! TWICE I was lied to on the phone about their hours. I guess it's due to the lack of English spoken by the people who work there. I called on a Saturday at 1:52 pm to ask their hours. The man that answered said, "We are opening now until 11." Great. My guests and I got ready and got there around 3:30 pm. Guess what....THEY WERE CLOSED! Why? Because they have no sense of customer service, that's why. The sign on the door said they would return at 4 pm. So we waited the half hour. 4 pm comes and goes....still not open. So I called them. This time a lady answers the phone and tells me they won't open until 5 pm. REALLY?!? I asked her why when I called at 1:52 pm the man LIED to me. She, of course, did not comprehend the language spoken in the country where she lives and operates a business. That was the last time I was going to let this mediocre sushi spot flat out lie to me. My suggestion....if you want AWESOME sushi, skip this joint and head to Sushi Boy in Garfield. AMAZING sushi, superb service, unbeatable prices. You will LOVE it!

I live across the street so I go here regularly. There are tons of sushi places around the North Jersey area and many will argue that the more expensive "trendy" sushi places are the best. I have been to those places and I always look forward to coming back to Nori. They have the best sushi that I've had to date and the prices are much more reasonable than some of the other places around North Jersey or NYC.
