NJ Party Queen Events

I had a great experience with the service and the cake when I originally purchased a Pink Floyd themed cake for my husbands 40th birthday in Sept 2014 I had paid for this cake with a debit card and then the last payment with a check for the balance. January 2016, I noticed that there was a check that was deposited in one of my bank accounts that had very little money in it. The amount was for $121.00. Because I didn't have enough funds to cover the check, I received a $35 fee from the check. I immediately contacted Marianne on Facebook, asking her to explain what happened. She said one of her staff members had lost the check and she found it over a year later (Dec 2015) and proceeded to cash the check, never properly contacted me. Said she called the phone number that was on the check, but a few months later my phone number changed. My home address was on the check, she could have sent me a letter in the mail. She never did her due diligence and took time to appropriately contact me. When I spoke to her on FB last week she politely explained what happened, and we came to an agreement that she would meet me in the middle and pay for 2 of the 4 fees that had incurred from this mess. In total $140 in fees had hit my account. Then this past Monday 1/11, she decides to tell me that she is NOT RESPONSIBLE for what had happen. I know that its partly my fault too, being that I never noticed that check wasn't cashed, but after 1yr and 4 months?? I never said that she should not get paid for services that she did. I never disputed that she shouldn't get paid. She made the mistake. Didn't Marianne notice that she was short $121 in her books for 2014, even prior to finding the check?? did she report this as a loss to the government? makes me wonder? should make everyone wonder. Be very careful. if you pay her in cash, check, credit get a receipt, who knows what deceitful tricks she has up her sleeve. The cake she made for my husband and the memories that came with the cake are forever diminished. Just yesterday 2 people had asked me where I got that Pink Floyd cake from and I was going to refer them to her, but over $70 she just lost hundreds of dollars in business. Sorry but Karma will prevail!
