NJ Motor Vehicle Commission

I've made my way down to this DMV twice now to take my permit test and have not been able to take the test. The first time I came at 6pm on a Tuesday (they close at 730 on Tuesdays) and they said there's no chance I will be able to pay for the permit and take my test. I came back on a Saturday at 745am and there were already at least 100 in front of me in line. I waited outside for 2 hours in the heat for them to check my documents, another 45 minutes to pay for my permit and was then told to go BACK OUTSIDE to wait in line to take the permit test. I waited 2 more hours in the heat and at 1235 they said they would not be administering anymore tests! 5 hours down the drain! Completely unacceptable. A woman fainted from waiting in the heat to renew her license. Wasted tax dollars.

I just gave one star to write this review. Employees there are rude. They cannot provide information I need. Chatting while I'm standing right in front of them. Very rude people at there.

Everything was smooth until I came across this short bespectacled lady near the testing area who didn't know what she was doing but still had the ego to be rude and throw her weight around for no reason.

Today I tried to renew my drivers license in the Bayonne DMV. I had more than enough documents and points, but because my green card still had my maiden name they requested my wedding certificate.

I told the Hispanic female receptionist staff that I obviously have a drivers license under my married name so what is the problem. I am just renewing, she basically wanted a wedding certificate so I went home to being a copy. When I waited in line to finally see again this rude and unprofessional staff she told me that she can only accept original and not copy. I told her was in color and not black and white so I thought it was the original. She replied that they have tricks that I don't know so she knows it's a copy.

By the way in the 45 minutes that I was waiting in line at least 3 other people had issues with the receptionist.

Worse dmv ive ever walked into.. They treat you like your a criminal and they seem like they hate there jobs. Very rude.. plz replace staff
