My wife and I were looking for a mid-sized SUV and had our hearts set on the Kia Sorrento. The Sorrento had all the bells and whistles we were looking for, but in negotiating with the sales rep - we walked away feeling confused and dissatisfied with their customer service. Later that day we drove pass the Nissan of Queens dealership, and my wife and I decided to see what Nissan had for mid-sized SUV. I was greeted at the door and escorted by Lisa Lopez (Customer Relations) to the Nissan sales rep (Andy Flanders) who understood what we were looking for and introduced us to the 2015 Nissan Murano and 2015 Nissan Rogue. Andy was extremely knowledgeable of the vehicles including the finance and lease options for both models (which is rare – as many reps could easily speak on their cars, but not the numbers – which was very important to us). Andy offered us two test drives to compare the Murano and the Rogue and in the end… we fell in love with the Murano. It was definitely comparable to the Sorrento, but in my opinion had a better drive. My interest was piqued! After our test drives we met with the general manager (Joe Gianelli) who spent a friendly and informative 20 minutes telling us more about the Murano and how the 2016 Murano is his only weapon of choice. Again, we were treated warmly from the door, to the salesman, and now the GM.
After sorting through our finance options, we learned that we could actually afford the latest Murano (the 2016 which was released in January). Ok where do we sign?
We then met with Alex Pollack (Finance guy) who handled our paperwork – outlining every detail from beginning to end. We signed the agreement and the 2016 Murano was parked out front the dealership - waiting for us to drive her home.
In retrospect, the two deciding factors between the Sorrento and the Murano were the quality of the car/drive and… customer service. Don’t get me wrong… the Sorrento is a great car, but what sold us was the customer service. Sure the Sorrento has things that the Murano does not, but when you’re dealing with a friendly, caring, and knowledgeable staff… you feel like you’re in good hands. In the end, the minor differences in the Sorrento seemed to matter less. We were in great hands from beginning to end, and we have no regrets on our decision.
Thank you Lisa, Andy, and Joe for your professionalism, care, and patience in making this purchase.
Thumbs up all around!
Great job!
