Staff is welcoming gym is great always on point.

I live in the same building. The Customer service is horrible. I 've been in this club for more than one year, when I change my credit card, they asked for more than $60 for the change fee after 3 months. But nobody tell me at all before!! And the charge extra $38 dollar to fix your rate without notice. They cancel my membership by fault and ask me to pay to recover it. the loker room is sticky like men's feet and swimming pool smells bad too. You can't even get of the smell after shower for 2 days. People call me walking Dettole now because I smells like so. They use every excuse to charge you extra money. People at front desk are really unfriendly and know nothing about the membership thing. Call serveries are never reachable. You will get in to endless trouble when sign up/

I can only give this gym 4 stars and that's only because it has a pool. Other than that it's very small and I've never seen such few treadmills in a nysc.

I have been a member here for almost 4 years now. The gym has undergone a lot of changes. Originally it used to be a "Crunch" Fitness franchise. I had just moved into the building and signed up immediately. I remember it being well maintained, with small amenities such as towel service and friendly staff. A few weeks later, unfortunately it became "West End Sports Club" under new ownership. Since then the gym has gone downhill. The ancillary staff changes every few weeks, the Management acts like they care but do nothing to appease any of the patrons concerns. The gym has many safety hazards that could prove to make a nice lawsuit if one were to be injured (uneven gym flooring, free weights littered on the ground, machines too close together creating fire hazard). Recently the gym bought new equipment which is nice but several of the machines are still "out of order" and it has been over 6 months. Smaller pieces of equipment such as a tricep pull down rope are frayed but the management either does not notice or does not care to replace it. There is no towel service. The management does not care if you threaten to quit. I would prefer some of the older equipment/machines because they actually worked.

The gyms fitness classes are a joke, with 3-4 people in attendance at most. Many girls quit because of this very reason. Another problem is that there is no staff to actually enforce weight re-racking rules as well as cleaning up after yourself. There are speakers in the gym but the music is barely audible. There are Broken mirrors which the gym tries to hide by covering them up with old gym mats. The 3-4 TV's look like they are from the 1970s and do not work half the time.

The only reason this gym has members is because most of the members live in the building and it is convenient. If a new gym opened up across the street at a similar price point, I can almost guarantee this place would shut down in a few weeks time.

Don't listen to these haters people. A lot of these negative reviews are from people who tried to take advantage in someway and got caught or they work for other health clubs and spend their days writing bad reviews, the world is full of them. If you want to know about a place check it out yourself. I've seen parents constantly trying to sneak their friends and children into this club to use the pool. They think because they live in the building their entitled without paying. It a great quite atmosphere with a great pool. It's clean and not over crowed. Check it out for yourself and disregard these looser's comments!!!!!
