New York Institute of Medical Careers

Just completed my Patient Care Technician and all went rocking. Tremendous feeling to accomplish so much in four months, all the training that began with my first step into this school back in September, and finally taking my PCT exam two weeks ago and just getting my results yesterday. Since it began with Ms. Bland as our instructor, an amazing person with extensive experience in nursing for more than 40 years, I was excited at first but really comfortable by week three of our training as my fears of changing careers and entering a relatively new profession just faded, maybe due Ms. Bland’s homely classroom atmosphere. The internship was wonderful at the nursing home, and the best thing was that as I did my training on weekends, due to part time job on weekdays, I wasn’t told to take off from work in order to do my internship, it was arranged on weekends as well. So amazingly, if you do your training on the weekends, you do your internship on the weekends as well. How great that is! Continuing my education with Dr. Jehan for EKG & Phlebotomy couldn’t get any better. Then again, weekend classes with the doctor were informative as well as fun. Yeah! January came and I was ready for my PCT exam, and once done, I passed it. Just got my certificate yesterday. As far as the school is concerned, they’ve done their part wonderfully. Now comes the job placement phase and I was surprisingly sent to a clinic the following Monday after receiving school certificate for internship as well. I think I have good chances of getting of job there, but for that I will have to perform on my end and I will. Ms. Kinni was prompt and courteous every time I spoke to her. The good thing is that this school is true to their word, there are no hidden fees, and they are exactly as they appear on the website. Thanks to all the teachers, Ms. Bland & Dr. Jehan, the staff Ms. Kinni and the reception. Wish me luck!!!

I'm a proud graduate of CNA, Phlebotomy and EKG in this institution and has high degree of gratitude to be one of her creative outputs. I was given the chance to broaden my visible horizon not only in learning but it instilled in me the spirit of self confidence, high esteem, and professional relationship among my peers and faculties. I was overwhelmed to see the quality of instructors due to their aggressiveness, well knowledge and high level of expertise in their field of teaching. The principal goal envisioned to us is to achieve our goals and aspire us to a higher ladder of becoming professional in our chosen career. Thank you for nurturing us the the knowledge and skills and for that I feel confident in passing my NY State exams thus giving me a more positive outlook towards the future. Best Alma Mater!!!

Love this school. I finished the cna program last year. My internship was stalled due to a broken ankle. I had one day left. I went back almost a year later and they were ready to set me up with no issues right where I had left off. Due to take exam soon. Love the staff.

I had to give this school a five star rating on this review because from registration to completion, the staff, the teachers and the students made everyday sensational. The teachers ensure that you "get it", even when you think you just cant "get it". They will work with you as much as possible to ensure that you pass your course by not just reviewing the material but by knowing the material. The students of my class were amazing, they made hard days a breeze, we all helped each other in whatever areas we were weak in. I have to say a special thank you to Kini Suny, you welcomed me well on registration day and you saw me through it to the end and also id like to thank my teacher Ahmed, exceptional at what he does let me tell you and he worked with me to help me get math, which was my weakest are but know i got it down pat thanks to him. Thanks for the experience of having me in your school, the journey was well worth it, i am anew.

I was a student of NY institute of medical careers. I study certified nurses aide, and became certified by New York state. I love the people in this school; everyone is so sweet. They were helpful and knowledgeable in any question i ask. I want to thank ms. sunny for everything. she is so sweet woman, and helps me in all my request. i love my teacher ms. bland. She is a funny and loving woman, but she don't play no games. she knows what she is talking about. overall i love the school atmosphere i feel so comfortable there. i am going back to study phlebotomy. This school is amazing!!!!!
