This place is the worse.you would be seen faster in a hospital emergency room.you would lose your eyesight before being seen.people standing around for hours waiting for their appointment.why would they book 50 people to an 8am appointment.poor management.truly a business in every sense of the word.no patient interaction whatsoever.

There is always a long wait to be seen despite what appointment time you receive. The treatment though is top notched and is definitely one of the best in the city.

ive been a patient at NY Eye Surgery since 1994. I've had cataracts removed from both eyes and had interocular lens implanted under Dr. Nirenburg, who no longer works there. My last 4 visits there I've been under the care of Jiyoung Yoon, O.D. because of the increase pressure in my eyes which could lead to glucoma, so the plan of treatment is prevention. Today I had an appointment which ended leaving a terrible taste in my mouth. Yoon decided she no longer wants to treat me and wanted me out of her office. What she failed to understand is once you dialate someones eyes and expose them to extreme light it's only natural to withdraw. That was not her concern and she frankly didn't care about my discomfort. Her concern was to play catch up because she was late and she had a load of patients to see. she is pretty good at her job but not good with communicating with her patients. she has always addressed me as "The Patient", she's abrupt, insensitive and very disrespectful. what she doesn't know is I am a RN, who just came from work that morning after working a 12 hour shift. I know how to treat patient's,and their families. she needs sensitivity training which should include, respect, don't ever talk down to people or dismiss them like they're insignificant, you can't put "The Patient" in a box, and we are more than just eyes. As an adult I have never up to now been disturbed and insulted by a health care giver and I hope I don't ever again experience this again. That visit reminded me of all that I don't want to be to my patient's.
