I spent several hours in NYC's Central Booking Unit yesterday. Be forewarned - the cops are unreasonable testosterone charged dictators looking to cause as much trouble as those being arraigned. Presumably after deducing who my family was supporting, a Caucasian blond blue eyed cop in his early 30s and another Hispanic female cop with salt and pepper hair in her mid 40s deliberately stood in front of my family blocking our view and loudly talking within seconds of our loved one getting in front of the judge in an effort to show their authority and egg us on. It was the most infuriating position to be put in and after trying to move closer to hear, I was sternly told to remove myself from the first row because it was for lawyers only - NO SIGN! - and then obscenely thrown out once I tried to explain that I couldn't hear over them, it was something important to me to hear, and that the speakers they pointed out to me weren't working. I couldn't believe how these cops turned their boredom into a way to assert themselves over those families supporting their loved ones. Once again, these cops demonstrated their gross nature to abuse their power. Be forewarned before you enter a court of cops that aren't really cops, but instead, glorified babysitters constantly compensating for their deficits as court cops.
