Thanks for nothing Brooklyn 94th precinct. Not a happy camper right now. Our bikes were stolen right out of our building, and my wife tried to file a police report. The police refused to send anyone over to take the report. She ran into an officer on the street, who also refused, and told her to walk to the Lorimer St station. When she got there, they also refused, and told her to walk to the 90th precinct. They also refused to let a crying, 5 month pregnant woman, being sent on a wild goose chase in the sweltering summer heat to even use the bathroom. But wait, turns out we live in the 94th precinct, bot the 90th. I guess if nobody will take a police report, it helps keep crime stats down? There's a street festival that starts on my street tonight, and I'm sure there will be dozens of cops trolling around stuffing their faces with zeppolies and fried oreos, but not one can bear the physical exertion of lifting a pen and paper.
