Amazing job

Police Officers are responsible and very competent

This precinct is horrible and extremely unresponsive. I have been trying to call them for over a month. You get the automated system asking you to pick an extension and when you do it just re routes you back to the greeting asking you to pick an extension again. If this is monitored by anyone, I need to speak with the property officer in relation to items not returned or someone who will be able to provide compensation to replace them.

I've read all of the reviews here on google and i do not believe any were able to properly articulate how bad this specific precinct is. The 47th precinct of the NYPD is one of the most incompetent, and worthless sectors of the NYPD. Over the years, I would come in here to file police reports for various occasions. This is what to expect coming here: "Oh, we can't help you unless there's blood", "The lady who takes reports is out on lunch, come back in an hour", "The detective just left, call this number or come in tomorrow", "The detective didn't come in today yet, come back in 3 more hours", "Please wait in that room, and we'll be there to help you out". These guys are nothing short of a joke. Seeing as how this particular precinct is adjacent to a public housing project, it's expected. Other precincts (*cough* 49th precinct, located near the pelham bay area) in good areas do not behave in this manner. I currently have a fake I.D. that shows I live near allerton avenue just so I can avoid coming to this place should i require the aid of a police precinct. Just hope that, should you have any issue, you are not relegated to this excuse of a place.

Came to this pct because I needed an accident report.the officers greeted me like professionals and were very courteous. I'm surprised from the prior reviews, but I must say they are aces in my book and I am considering writing to the commissioner to gave awards given out to these guys.i love NYPD
