the first time i went, the dc jack of my laptop was broken so i had it fixed for $120. fine. second time it wasnt working anymore after 6-8 months even after babying it like crazy so i went with the replacement jack and they discounted $20 for the part. so it was $100. fine. it stopped working AGAIN in a shorter time than before and on the third time, they still wanted to charge $120 even though i brought the part. i guess they were a bit greedy but still agreed to $100.
a while later they let me know that my motherboard is messed up and will cost me $450+ to fix it. ridiculous! so i took it back and dealt with the problem until i got a job at a cell phone repair place. they also fixed other electronics so i took my laptop there and after checking it over with my head tech, we found out how bad the job was done over the course of those three visits here. there was flux everywhere else on the motherboard (which would have eaten through but thankfully it didnt) and the soldering of the dc jack was terrible and obviously it wasnt working because the poor soldering lifted up and i had a dc jack halfway out! so we fixed it and at least i know itll last a good while because we cleaned it thoroughly, soldered it perfectly and with enough solder to keep it in place. finally, i realized i paid too much for these bad jobs considering how at my job, they charge $85 WITH labor, part, and a 6-month warranty!
do yourself a favor and avoid repair shops like these, you are better off going to a franchise repair shop where im currently in now. this shop is overpriced for poor repair jobs.
