New Rochelle Humane Society

Wonderful place. The staff and volunteers are very nice and informative. My brother just adopted a cat from there. We can't wait to bring her home this weekend.

Horrible phone service. I had someone call me irresponsible and hang up on me because I called to see if it were possible to drop a cat off that my roommate left me with. He does not know the circumstance and had no right to be so disrespectful. And then when I told the "assistant manager" she did not give me any type of apology all she said was that she "would address" it but I'm sure they probably laughed about it as soon as she hung up the phone. There is no reason to be rude to people you do not know "Humane Society" staff, not very humane of you.

Great organization! They really care about what they are there to do. It's about the animals.

Great place. The staff is friendly and they truly care about the animals. I wish everyone had their mentality toward animals. I'll definitely adopt my next dog from there as well.

To everyone that I met at your adoption center today,

I was both impressed and touched by the lovely staff I met at your shelter. I could tell that you
all love the animals that you care for and that you take the adoption procedure very
seriously and I could also tell from your expressions how happy you are to see an animal adopted
to a caring person.

I had the good fortune today of adopting Beauty who I am calling Bella and I thought it would please
all of you to know how quickly she took to her new home. She has already had something to eat and
drank some water which indicates to me that she feels safe and content in her new home with me.
At this moment she is studying every nook and cranny of our living space and has found a lovely
cushioned window sill to sit on and look at the outdoor scenery,however, she seems most comfortable
in the middle of my living room; she looks so beautiful, stretched out on my oriental carpet, having
her belly rubbed. The few hours that she has been here has brought so much happiness to
both of us. We were both pining for the loss of a loved one and now together we can begin to heal
and share a loving life together.
