The sales rep (Michelle) was great – talked me through the process, my inventory list, and the estimate, and really made me feel at ease.
The "packing" side of the move was very good. The team was professional, and took good care of packing my goods. That's what I would have expected from a recommended moving company.
However, the delivery was absolutely AWFUL. First, I spoke with the office several times prior to the delivery. Each time they said they'd call me back (and gave me a timeline for the call). They NEVER called back when they said they would. More often than not I had to chase them down. Second, they used a subcontractor driver to deliver the load. He hired two young guys off of Craig's list (yet said they were “professional movers”) to unload the truck. These guys were NOT allowed to use the ramp to unload the truck - they were given a ladder to lean against the truck to unload the entire truck. They had no hand truck to bring the items from the curb to the house. They brought boxes in upside down and sideways, and did NOT neatly pile them in each room. I spent significant time reorganizing the boxes so they had room to bring in the furniture. They didn’t reassemble anything that was disassembled (yet I was told they would). Plus, they didn't start the unloading until after 8:15 PM, and didn't finish until after 1:30 AM. The driver was rude & condescending. Furniture arrived with some damage, and breakables were broken, due to the poor handling of the boxes. Some of my items were lost in transit. If you're moving long distance, or storing your goods prior to delivery, I would NOT recommend them.
