Waited 1 ½ hour in the line & at the end nastily kicked us out.
Because of their miscommunication they cannot take us anymore. Staff was so slow. Should hire young people & fire old slow people. Couldn’t renew my DL. Never going back again at this location. Worst experience ever. Officer thinks that he owns this location. NJ taxes are highest in nation & we get treated so badly.

A very efficient office. Polite help. No crowd. The time you go may have some affect on the crowd though. Late morning worked for me.

I got a letter in the mail saying my licenses was suspended due to surcharges, so I went into a panic because I'm supposed to go for my CDL road test on Tuesday, I live in Newark, and they gave me a number and told me that I may not be seen today after standing in the rain for an hour, damn! I got in touch with my daughter, she told me of this DMV in Hazlet, I said lets take a chance, long story short, I'm never going in that Newark DMV again, I was in there every bit of 20 minutes, and had my license restored, and the workers were very polite, were do you find that at any DMV? Thanks to the lady with Harley Davidson necklace, she's a gem!

Great experience!!! It took me 10 minutes to renew my driving license!!! Comparing to the hours that I spent at the old one, corner of Rte 34 and Broad street in Matawan!!!
