Its a great school as far as knowledge but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. A lot of their certs are "in house" certs and aren't acknowledged by a lot of companies. I heard they are not acknowledged because of an incident involving one of their students shooting a cop. Also, they do not help you find a job carrying!

I've spoken to a few ranges prior to being referred to New Jersey Firearms Acadamy. i was impressed with the knowledge and patience. im glad i was trained here. I wish you guys the best of luck.

Great Group of instructors, professional, diligent, and experienced. If you are thinking about owning a firearm its worth the time, and expense -even if you have some experience.

i setup an appointment online, paying 250$ and went to their primary location. (the location you see on this map, Danforth ave)
Come the day of the class i get there 30min early and pace around for about 2 hrs. eventually i check their website once again and see they have a shooting range they use in union or secaucus. so i get there and told them what had happened and they said i was too late and to call back and setup another appointment. well i tried and sent repeated emails. Apparently, their online system was to supposed to send me a confirmation on where to go (the range) but i never got or heard back from them.

FYI, their shooting range is in the back of bar. took twenty minutes to find that as well on a saturday morning.
