New Century Home Care

Working at New Century has been an amazing experience!! You gain life experiences and meet new people on a daily basis. You learn to multi-task and tackle any and every obstacle that gets in the way all the while maintaining your composure. I am thankful to have started working at this company and grateful to be a part of this team!!!!

New Century Home Care might be the least professional organization I have EVER dealt with. We were using them in conjunction with MJHS hospice care, at the end of my mom’s life. The aides that came to help my mom were consistently late (over an hour!), they were not well trained, and they acted completely inappropriately. One aide could not help lift my mom from the wheelchair to the bed. The Physical Therapist who was there at the time was appalled and asked her repeatedly if she had any HHA training. He showed her the proper way to lift a patient. The next day, she went back to her way of doing it, which didn’t work, and could have hurt my mother. Another aide chose to take personal calls on her cell phone (while in the room where my mom was sleeping) and talked so loud she woke my mom up! When I called the office for help, my coordinator was apologetic and agreeable, but there was nothing she could do, the HHAs are completely hopeless. And if you don’t get your main coordinator, forget it! They clearly don’t communicate with each other. The other people in the office were rude, and had no interest in helping me fix the problem. Clearly they think sub-par home care should be good enough for a dying patient. It finally became clear that they were so untrained and uncaring that I fired the agency and did it myself.
