I'm not a Catholic (actually Muslim) but I visited this grave just to visit and browse.
I'd have to say it's really beautiful. They take care of the grass and everything really well. What's sad though, is the forgotten Graves. Many Graves are abandoned, with no flowers and they are rusty with vines growing around it, or tiled and fallen over.
They say you die two times. The first is when you die for real, and the second is when someone says your name for the very last time on Earth.
This is really a great cemetary and I'd urge you to visit.

Office is very helpful - if you have a name and date of death, they'll find the gravesite for you. Office was hard to find - it's the tan brick building on the south side of the BQE, near 49th St.

The staff at Calvary was/is extremely helpful. I was assisted with information as good as at any other cemetery I've been to! It's just an amazing place to visit and so large. The archdiocese of New York are doing it right at Calvary. I was/am impressed.
