One of my favorite parks in NYC. The views are wonderful. The sunsets are spectacular.

This park has everything, cute-scary statues, helicopter noise, the Statue of Liberty from a distance, and children trying to grow a garden. Conveniently located at the South end of a small but expensive island, this park should be on the Top 10 list for any serious tourist ... (insert more Stefon if you feel like it).

Anyway, come anytime, it is always gorgeous. Bring a camera, you will find you need it. Those awesome Tom Otterness statues make suitable motives for making 3D pictures.

I have been going to this park since it was first built back in the early 90's, so it has a special place in my heart. As a kid it was a great place, as there were all kinds of options for fun, be it playground, sport, or exploration. As an adult, you also have lots of options for fun, although part of me wishes there was an "adult swim" period where you could make a fool of yourself by going on the swings and playing on the jungle gym.

The park keeps a small town vibe, where you can go to a clubhouse and rent out ping pong tables and other entertaining equipment. Aside from all of this, you still have the great fields where you can picnic, relax, or just walk through barefoot to connect with some man-made earth.

This is a fantastic place to run through, especially during sunset time. I came here for the first time yesterday and was completed amazed by the colors and setting silhouette against New Jersey. It's really quite amazing, especially if you enjoy these NYC sunsets. Something about the sun reflecting off these monstrous huge mushroom clouds is something unreal. We stopped to sit on the bench and take in all the views. To the south you can see the Statue of Liberty at the distance, to the west is New Jersey and to the North you can see all the sailboats heading back to their ports. In general it's a perfect place to hang out on the benches/grass, a quick run through the area or a nice romantic walk.

I really love Rockefeller Park. It's in a nice neighborhood, located along the water, and has plenty of open fields for playing/lounging/picnicking. I've been a few times now and usually you'll see groups of children playing games with their school or after-school programs, but not to worry, there is plenty of park to go around!

Sometimes I like to walk along the water and watch the boats while getting some exercise in. Nothing like that ocean breeze to invigorate you!
