Wonderful place to take the Family. The staff are vigilant yet kind. Keeps all the children in line. I am pleased all mine were angels ofcourse,naturally.

Not an overly impressive museum. The large center room with a wrap around mural is nice but most other object on display I've seen in other museums. One high points are the Plains Indian and Central American section. Honestly the History Museum's Pacific Northwest Indian section was a better experience than this whole museum's collection.

Unexpected treasure of a place. I highly recommend a visit- it is free entry so you can spend as much time as you need. The building itself is an amazing example of beaux arts, with a Raphael Guastavino rotunda and vaults with depictions of explorers such as Columbus (as the building was originally used as customs house). The exhibits of native American cultures are superb. Was not prepared for the 'circle of dance ' video exhibition on the first floor which was also really good.

This is an awesome museum. We didn't know we would end up there - we stumbled upon it while we were walking to the park. Admission is free and there's plenty to see on display. We were there around closing time, but I wish we had some more time to explore. Definitely worth checking out.
